Important Note: Before enrolling in this course, ensure you meet the required qualifications listed below and can provide proof of collector certification and experience to the National Drug and Alcohol Screening Association (NDASA). Course Prerequisites: To qualify for this training and receive certification upon completion, participants must:

  • Be certified as a collector through an industry association or network of collection sites, or have been designated as a trainer for at least one year. Participants must submit documentary proof, such as a certificate, before starting the course. Please send all materials to samanthabrown@ndasa.com.
  • Have at least one year of experience performing collections, including federally mandated collections.
  • Provide a letter of recommendation from a client or supervisor to samanthabrown@ndasa.com.
  • Familiarize themselves with the following materials: 49 CFR Part 40 (Subparts C, D, E, I, and R), Office of Drug and Alcohol Policy Compliance interpretations and Q&A, and DOT Urine Specimen Collection Guidelines.

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be certified for five years to train employees in their organization to become certified Drug Test Collectors.
